New technology has become the fuel for a fire that has been kindled for centuries.  However in past and ancient times, with little technology, there were only a few dry trees in the forest for the fire to spread to.  Now, the forest is ready for a blaze of great magnitude to burn so brightly that the whole Earth will have to feel its heat.

We are in the midst of a wondrous transformation.  The election results were aided by an element of Grace.  Indeed it was a metaphor  for heart vs mind; hope vs fear.  Hope prevailed. The hearts of many have been imprisoned for too long.  In the past we have chosen the path of illusions and fear, filling our space with too many things to do, and the insatiable concept of more: more things to save for, more things to do, more money to make, more stuff packed into our days, and more worries running through our minds. Our thoughts have become so heavy they have weighed down our hearts, veiling the very reasons for life itself.  Now we are being asked to look deeper into the meaning – deeper than thoughts of why and how and when.  Our hearts are instinctively leading us to nurture the seeds of hope, goodness, love and peace that were sowed deep within us by God when he gave life; as we are now asked to sustain life.

This is a divine moment in evolution that has been hastened by the perils of our planet, the dangers of war, and the destruction that these  our illusions, have led us to.  Now, we shall begin again – with the fire of hope, and peace, and the love that radiates from God to each of us through our hearts.  Hooray for technology that will hasten the sharing of our hearts and bring us each closer to the deeper meaning of existence!

Good winter day to all,

Within each of us is a depth that contains the Power of the Universe, the Power of God.  This depth unknown to many, is the secret that the ancients speak of.  It consists of the seeds of life, planted in us as life itself, by God.  These seeds come to germination within the emptiness of our lives.

Times of struggle and times of loss bring us there instantly for we are forced to face the emptiness, even if it is for a short while. The discomfort in this, brings us often to a place of fear.  But if we push through this and see the beauty of the emptiness for what it is, a invitation from God to go deeper – then we find the seeds sprouting with blossoms and gifts that we could never have imagined.

What our minds tell us about the emptiness are messages of fear and messages of lack.  However, our hearts see the emptiness as an open field of the infinite:  infinite possibilities, infinite hope, infinite love, and infinite goodness.  It is the true art of alchemy that allows us to see from our hearts instead of with our heads the beauty and the depth that the emptiness brings us.

I am Frannie Rose, spiritual teacher for One Simple Voice.  I teach students to uncover their hearts from what messages their minds speak of the emptiness.  I encourage those who struggle to move through the pain, into the the open field of infinite possibilities; that which the emptiness offers their hearts.

I ask you all to reflect on these questions:  Why do you fear loss so much?  Do you see loss as lack?  What is it about the emptiness that makes us walk backwards instead of forward into the depth?
